End Table Roadside Rescue

I found these two wood end tables on the curb which I am officially calling "Roadside Rescue". One of the drawers was missing a knob, but other than that they were in perfect condition. Of course the dark wood was too drab for me so I spruced them up Samantha style.

 I used an anchor stencil I drew several months. The anchors required four coats of paint. I found some old brass knobs I had from another project. I spray painted those glossy white. These endtables sold for $75 for the pair.

Chest of Drawers Makeover

I found this water damaged, heavy as crap, chest of drawers on the side of the road. It sat in my garage for two months before I touched it. I wasn't in love with HHR chest but you can't beat free! 

Painted it antique white:

I wasn't satisfied with it being plain white. So I painted an anchor on it. This stuff is really popular in my beach town. I think the anchor gives the boring chest a unique touch. 

Anchor Stool

I literally found this stool in someone's trash. Of course it didnt look like this at the time. When I found the stool it was plain wood but it was dirty and had bits of mold on it. I sanded it clean, threw some paint on it and DONE! Unfortunately I do not have a place for it in my house 👎 so I sold it for $25 (girl's gotta put food on the table).

I'm really happy with how it turned out! Very clean looking. 

Chunky Anchor Bracelet

I've been on a roll experimenting with anchor bracelets. I bought a chain bracelet with memory wire in it. I took ribbon and weaved it through, once I got to the end of the bracelet I went back and weaved it through again so both ends of the ribbon were at the same place.

I used a jump ring to secure the anchor to the bracelet and DONE!

Anchor Cord Bracelets

I made these bracelets using 1mm Waxed Cotton Cording. I bought these two colors from Michael's (they came together). I bought the anchor charms from Fire Mountain Gems (20 charms for $3.57). I learned how to do the knotting here.

Lengths to cut your cording:

• Two 18 inch long strings (These strings will be the strings that actually wrap around your wrist.
• Two 24 inch long strings (these are the strings you use to tie the knots that you see going down the length of the cording.
• One 12 inch piece of cording to tie the slip knot that allows you to slip the bracelet on and off (very last step).

If you follow the step by step directions in the tutorial you will end up with an anchor cording bracelet. The picture below is how I secured the bracelet with a slip knot.
